Join the fun this summer at the Claymont Public Libraries
As summer begins and school is out of session, the Summer Reading Club starts. Sign-ups begin June 4th and activities run through July 28th. For all ages pre-school to adults. Both libraries have lots of exciting and interesting activities planned for the summer.
Summer Fun programs: Crafts, pre-school story times, Wii gaming, nail art, fun food day, and much more.
Programs: Akron Mobile Zoo, Magic show, “Space” presented by the Wilderness Center, Native American storyteller, food preserving and more.

New Circulation System Being Installed at Claymont Public Library System
The Claymont Public Library System will be upgrading its circulation system in June. It will offer an easier way for patrons to search for items on our online catalog. There will be an app for users to download into their smart phone so they can order items and track their delivery to the library. There will also be advanced features for the staff, ultimately providing better service for our patrons. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience during the first week of June. Starting May 31, holds for items will not be able to be placed from home as the catalog will be unavailable, and June 4th-6th the library will only be able to check out items as we will be using a test environment. The new system will be up and running starting June 7th along with the new online catalog. These dates may be subject change, a handout with more detailed information will be available at each of our libraries. This upgrade is being done because our current software is no longer being updated and needs to be replaced.
ATTENTION: Claymont Public Library, both Uhrichsville and Dennison will be closed on June 7th to catch up on back-log. Sorry for the inconvenience.
