Uhrichsville Library

The Main Library is located at 215 E. 3rd Street in Uhrichsville.  Local landmarks include the Southern District Court, Mako's Market,  and the Buckeye House.  The Uhrichsville Public Library first opened in 1934 and was located in the Uhrichsville City Building.  In 1964, the Uhrichsville Library and the Dennison Library merged due to the change in school districts and the two formed what is officially known as the Claymont School District Public Libraries.

The Uhrichsville location currently houses approximately 24,000 items, including videos, compact discs, audio books, magazines, and books.  There is a children's room, a reference area, and a fully staffed circulation/reference desk.  There are also computers available for Internet searching and word processing.  The offices of the Library Director and the Clerk-Treasurer are located in the Uhrichsville Library, and there is a meeting room available.

Along with the Library Director and the Clerk-Treasurer, there are 2 full time staff members and 3 part time staff members located in this library.

The Claymont Public Libraries have a 7 member Board of Trustees which meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00am.  Board meetings are open to the public.   The libraries are members of the American Library Association, MOLO Regional Library System, the Ohio Library Council, the Twin City Chamber of Commerce, and the Center Street Association

Check out the Uhrichsville Library and see for yourself what's available!  And remember: we have interlibrary loan service available that can provide virtually any materials you need in a very short  time!  And it's free!!  Come see what you've been missing.  You may be surprised!
